Fantastic book! I am having fun working through the recipes, they are all yummy so far. The photographs of the Yoga poses, with the Thousand Islands as the backdrop, are just beautiful!! This is a book that will float between the kitchen counter when it's being used for the recipes, and the coffee table when the beautiful photography is being enjoyed. Gorgeous and delicious! Can't beat that :)

This is an amazing book! It's not just a cookbook but a celebration of food and yoga. I have many cookbooks but this one has a different feel about it. I can feel the effort and love that went into the entire project and the love and gratitude felt by the authors as a result of its popularity. Generally when I open a cookbook I check out the appetizers, soups and desserts. With this book I was immediately struck by the beautiful pictures of the food, the Thousand Islands Area of New York State and the asanas photos. Amazing!Then I made some of the food - even more amazing! I really like how they tied the names of the dishes into a yoga theme: Radiant Carrot Salad Pita and Half Moon Pita Hummus. One can only imagine the process of naming the dishes and what fun and joy that must have been. I am pleased that Liz and Kristen have been moved and guided to express their love of food and their yogic way of life. What a wonderful gift for the rest of us.

A little over two years ago, I started attending classes at River Yoga. I couldn't believe how amazing I felt after every yoga class, and when I heard that Liz and Kristen were releasing a food and yoga book, I knew I had to get it! As soon as I began reading their book, I felt like I was in yoga class. I could feel their positive vibe through the beautiful pictures, and felt inspired to go to my mat and to the kitchen. I cannot wait to share this book with my gal pals in our book club, and hopefully motivate them to a positive body and mind like Kristen and Liz have done for me.

Absolutely fell in love with this book! I am an avid cook and am always looking for new recipes to add to my repertoire. These past 8 months I have been pregnant and have had a terrible aversion to chicken, so its been so difficult to make nutritious, hearty, and delicious meals that were vegetarian. For the Love of Food and Yoga, helped get me through the boring chicken-less meals I was cooking and expanded my palate to these incredible vegetarian recipes.The pictures and poses in this book are breathtaking and really make me want to go and visit the beautiful 1000 Islands to take a yoga class. This book will definitely be used over and over again!

Oh my goodness, what delicious recipes , artfully crafted as well as a wide range of choices. This book is more than just a cookbook, but it reminds you to savor and embrace what and how we eat. I find myself reading the book, not just looking at the pictures as I would any other cookbook. I feel that it is more like a meditative practice where as I am preparing the recipes I am preparing them with compassion to care for my body. Love , love, love this book.

These two gifted women have created a book that will nourish us in mind, body and spirit. While preparing the delicious dishes one can also reflect and meditate on the wonderful and inspirational words of wisdom from great people.
