Rabbi Yosef Adler offers readers the Passover Haggadah together with comments that he heard from Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik. These comments are a collection of short sermons on various parts of the Haggadah, a book recited during the evening Passover Seder, a book that contains readings recalling the enslavement of the Israelites in Egypt and their exodus under the leadership of Moses. The word Seder means "order," referring to the order of the readings and of the many practices that are part of the Seder meal, such as eating matzot (unleavened bread), moror (bitter herbs), and stimulating children to participate by encouraging them to ask questions. Rabbi Soloveitchik very frequently refers in his comments to statements made in the legal rulings of the great sage Maimonides (1138-1204).The comments include: We need to not only perform the Seder practices but also understand them; we must "learn, study, and analyze the events surrounding the slavery and exodus from Egypt." One lesson that the Seder teaches is to appreciate time and use it well. There is a difference between slaves owned by individuals, such as the biblical Joseph and his owner, and slaves owned by a State, such as Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, and the Egyptian slavery. God is called "Makom," Place, according to Rabbi Soloveitchik because the word suggests a hidden God. There is significance in why tradition states that the Israelites were redeemed from Egyptian slavery after 210 years of enslavement rather than 209 or another number.Rabbi Adler includes laws about the holiday in Hebrew and concludes his Haggadah with seven pages of his own ideas about the Haggadah in English.

It is a good study supplement for pathology course. It provided pictures and explanations which I found helpful in my classes.

In my opinion, the best veterinary clinical pathology book. Great easy to read format. Consise, but providing more than just the basics. Great cases studies in the back that review topics.

Altough complete, updated and deep covering most of the aspect of clinical pathology, exposition of the matter is done in the list form, like a "things to buy" note. It looks like a student's lesson note and the subject is not treated in the usual way a book does, as say with sensed phrases that correlate one to the next following a logical thread. It is more a manual than a book and it is something that is impossible to read one paragraph after the other, and even harder to remember. Anyway it carries a lot of useful information and helped me whenever i needed.

For years I've been reading this author's online blog (My Marrakesh) and I was excited to pre-order her first design book. I love the unique combination of earthiness and glamor that comes across on her Moroccan style blog. The book arrived slightly ahead of schedule from Amazon (how nice!) and I've been deeply engrossed in it ever since. We've got a couple of other Moroccan design inspiration books but this one is by far the best and most comprehensive. Maryam's content is much more informative about aspects of Moroccan architecture and design while remaining a delight to read. The abundant photographs, almost needless to say, are gorgeous and very inspiring. She also includes some wonderful do-it-yourself projects and recipes. This is a must-buy book if you care for Moroccan design but I think any serious lover of art & design will really appreciate it too. There is so much to learn from Moroccan traditions and influences and Maryam Montague is a superb teacher and practitioner. The only thing that frustrates me about this wonderful book is being unable to visit Morocco just yet -- it's veryveryvery close to the top of my wish-list.

It's not often that I read an interior design book cover to cover, but I did with this one. The book is filled with captivating photographs of real homes in Morocco, showcasing a wide range of living spaces--from simple to bohemian, from grand to humble, and from traditional to contemporary.Going way beyond adding a pouf or lantern to your living room, this book is divided into three parts: 1. This book has great reviews and was modestly priced and my daughter just starting having an interest in trains, so I thought why not? It's a bit underwhelming. The "6 pages" include 2 single pages in the front and back and 2 full spreads (4 pages total) in the center of the book. The images are a bit difficult to use as play landscapes because they're rendered in natural perspective (meaning the part of the track that is supposed to be further away in the picture is drawn smaller than the track in the foreground). The magnets are excellent, the little plastic container in the back of the book is great, but the book itself is not good. Not bad for the price, but still disappointing.

Not worth the money... My son loves Thomas but this is a disappointment. There are only a couple of pages that are magnetic and the pages are pretty small, so not really something he can play with while we read. We read all the time together and he never picks this book to read.

I bought this to replace one that we had but lost all the magnets. this is a very nice book well really it is like a play set. It comes with 9 magnets and I believe 4 different pages you can make believe and recreate your favorite Thomas and Friends Shows. Reminds me of the colorforms I had as a kid except theses are magnets. I will say if you let your child use these magnets on your fridge remove them when playtime is over. Our original set we lost some magnets due to them becoming 'stuck" to the fridge and we had to basically scrape them off. they had been left on for days though so some short playtime should not cause an issue. All in all still a gre4at product and a great price.

I'm very mildly disappointed in this book. I was expecting it to be a book that is completely magnetic so that it could be played with on-the-go without worrying about losing the train pieces. Unfortunately, it just has magnetic strips within the pages. You have to get the train just so on the magnetic strip otherwise it doesn't work very well. It's not a toy that we could use on-the-go like I would have liked, but my almost 3 year old likes the toy anyway.

Bought this for my almost 3 year old toddler on a 9 hour car trip. He was entertained for about half an hour, but didn't return to it much. Sometimes this is just his toddler attention span, but in this case, I didn't blame him. There are only a few pages (3) to create different scenes. There are 9 magnets that are large enough to easily move around with little fingers, and they stick well enough to the pages to not be a pain in the car. A bit pricey for the entertainment value IMO. WaterWorks water paint pads were much more entertaining.

The book is adorable and has a plastic case to keep the magnets in. The reason I only gave it a 3-star rating it's because the magnets do not stick to the book very well. They are too heavy.

we have other magnet books, we love them. My kids are big Thomas fans. The the pages are not all magnetic not even half. No story line to put them on the pages and the pages that are magnetic have little space to place them.

What a ridiculously good idea. Magnetic pages and magnets that store within the book? Brilliant! I gave this my 2 year old and she has loved playing with it for a year now. She is pretty good about returning the magnets to their "shed" and we've only lost 1 or 2. Great for travel or just around the house.

Interesting, and I'm glad I bought it, but typesetting and structure leaves a whole lot to be desired. Self-publishers should take the time to investigate more readable standards of markup, rather than inventing their own, and use typestyles that make the reading less taxing. This book has way too much symbolic notation and italics. Also, because it is self published, a biography of the translator would have add some credibility. As it is, it is a self-published book, so one wonders what level of academic trustworthiness is in the translation.
