Helpful for any prospective law school applicant.

This is a useful book for anyone considering law school. It's written in a clear, detailed manner, with practical advice both for undergrads and those already finished with college. My only critique is sometimes the text is a bit tedious.

This was a solid book. It gave me a good big picture image of the admissions process, but it lacked a lot of the smaller things that would give me the edge at top schools, which I would have expected given the credentials of the author.

I thought that this book will give some deep info for applying to top-10 LS, turns out total waste of money.No good information, no good advices.Book is full the same stuff that you can find online for free.Highly disappointedSelling the book it's in perfect condition

Ms. Curll has written an outstanding narrative on the process of admission to law school, and advices on how to choose the one that is right for you. She has chapters on how to prepare for law school while still in college, but also reviews the process for those who are starting out later in life. In one of the early chapters she tackles the question of whether law school is the right choice for you by asking many useful questions connected with the career.As a former Harvard Dean in Law School admissions, she can write with many details about what the admission effort involves,including suggestions for positive interview results. She suggests some helpful work experiences you may want to explore before making a decision, and also reviews some questions on how to finance law school. Finally, she touches on some of the possibilities a law school graduate might consider after graduation, including clerkships, internships, and summer employment opportunities.This is an extremely readable and informative book for anyone considering law school. She includes many useful anecdotes and personal stories from her own long career and personal experience.

Such frank talk from the ultimate admissions insider (she's admitted thousands who have gone on to successful legal careers and even one President-elect) is rarely shared in public.I've counseled students in law school and recruited for a top Wall Street firm for over twenty years- what I wish is that all those students I met over the years had had the benefit of Curll's common sense career advice. While always careful not to direct students in any one direction, Curll shares a balanced assessment of the many options in both the public and private sector open to law school grads.This book is a perfect primer for anyone considering going to law school. Buy it for any undergraduate, but particularly for those students without access to a savvy pre-law advisor who can to coach them through the admissions process. Curll's careful tips to her readers helping them navigate through each step of the application process will do much to level the admissions playing field.

I would highly recommend this book over all others for the following reasons:- It is meant for all readers, in all stages of their life - still in high school, still in college, recent college grads and accomplished professionals.- It is well-written and clearly separated into chapters, easy to read and easy to understand.- The book was not only helpful for me, but also for those writing my recommendations. I photocopied several chapters which I sent to my recommenders along with the form from lsac.org.- The author has catered to those in all stages of the process - not sure about applying, pretty sure about applying and definitely applying. She helps (with examples) readers figure out if law school is really for them, or if it's just the easy way out for the time being (but not the right choice in the long run).With all that said, I would strongly recommend this book. It is not a waste of money and is perfect to help someone thinking about applying or getting their applications ready - I have referred to it so many times, for the LSAT, recommendations, my personal statement, how to choose the right schools etc.

I bought this book for my nephew, a college sophomore who is a bright, wonderful kid, but kind of lost about what to do once he graduates. I think this book will help him preserve his options. Curll's advice is, of course, directed specifically at those who are considering law school. But the essential ideas deserve a much broader audience. For example, the chapter on letters of recommendation explains how to select the people best suited to write such letters and how to help them write letters that will be effective. The chapter on how to write the personal statement (part of the law school application) can help anyone who must seize a limited opportunity to "market" him or herself. Particularly useful to my nephew -and to most college students, undoubtedly -is the chapter describing how to make the most of the college years. Curll offers a compelling rationale and specific strategies for choosing courses that develop critical thinking, participating in extra-curricular activities that develop leadership and teamwork, and broadening one's perspective through internships and work experiences.Curll writes in an accessible, engaging style and uses entertaining vignettes to illustrate her points. While law school applicants are the natural audience for this book, Curll has a great deal to offer all those contemplating graduate study in the professions.

The Omnibus Volumes are all awesome including this one. I jumped in a little late to get the first two in Signed & Numbered Edition, but did for third and fourth. The artwork is spectacular and the thick pages and heavy cover mean it will be enjoyed for years if not decades. I agree with another reviewer's comment that these are heavier than the reprints for the first two Omnibus Volumes.The extras at the end are incredible. Kirkman's captions for the images are included to provide background and insight on the images, including a bunch of promotional material. There is also heaps of well deserved praise for Charlie Adlard and his terrific artwork.I too had a similar experience with the Amazon packaging/shipping, although not much damage to this particular Volume. My copy for the Volume 3 has a big dent in the lower spine. This impacted the outer cover and the cover of the book (but not the pages themselves thankfully). For this Volume I only have a small dent in the cover on the binding, but not much else. I am not sure if its simply the shipping or they way they were stored. Seems like maybe one too many editions were stacked and the combined weight did the damage.Anyway, don't let the potential for a little shipping malarkey prevent you from purchasing this or any other Omnibus Volume of The Walking Dead. This is a must have for a fan of the series. As an added bonus, all Omnibus Volumes can actually be used to fend off the Walking Dead should they rise up.

If you like the series, you will love the books. As most know, the show is based on these graphic novels. Most of the story lines follow pretty close to it as well. I will say there is just enough difference that I want to both watch and read the comic side by side. The comic is much darker than the TV show and there is cursing. Most I have talked to enjoy the comic just as much as the TV Show. Def worth a read!

This item is completely messed up. Missing chapters entirely. Has chapters from a completely different work called Si, Shorty and the March to the Sea.

These books are awesome. The storyline is a little different than the show so fans will still enjoy the book even if you plan on watching the show. The art is great and I really like the cover art in the back of each book. The book is heavy and well made.I ordered one of the signed and numbered books only to have it arrive with a split corner. This is not the first book that has arrived this way. I ordered the the first Walking Dead Omnibus from Amazon last year and that one arrived with a split corner as well. I was more upset with the damage to this one because it was signed and numbered.

Do not purchase. It is a decent translation, but my copy had another novel spliced in the middle of it. Between aphorism 224- 264 there just random chapters of a book

I finally have all 6 of these. As a die hard walking dead fan, these are a must. Oversized, thick pages illustrate the comic better than ever. If you like twd, then these are for you.

Different from the tv show and definitely worth the read. I love the size of the Omnibus and the quality of the pages. I would recommend!

The book has very good information and the pictures are great. The only problem is that I was led to believe it was a different book than the 2014 published book by the same author.

I have owned the first edition of the cookbook forever. It finally fell apart from use. This edition includes all the older recipes and 130 newer recipes. A "Specialty Breads" chapter includes hamburger and hotdog buns, pretzels, cocktail rye loaves, pita bread, soft bread sticks, English muffins, ham & cheese& broccoli calzones, Another chapter includes sweet breads and coffee cakes, including coconut-pecan rolls, caramel sticky buns, orange coconut sweet rolls, gooey orange rolls, Also a chapter on fruit breads. I bought a used bread machine for $10.00 in a thrift store. I use the bread machine for kneading, then take out the dough after the first rise, put it in a pan, punch it down, let it rise and put it in the oven. With the bread machine recipes all the ingredients go in the machine at one time. The machine mixes, kneads, and makes it rise. The only work the baker has to do is gather the ingredients, measure them, and dump them in the machine. Voila! I have tried all the basic breads and liked them all except oatmeal pita bread. Oatmeal pita-not a good idea. One very serious criticism is the author's use of measuring in eighths of a cup--1/8,5/8, and 7/8. Measuring cups do not come in 1/8 cups. So I inserted these measurements in the inside cover of the cookbook:1/8 cup = 2 Tablespoons5/8 cup= 1/2 cup + 2 Tablespoons7/8 cup= 3/4 cup = 2 Tablespoons.I own lots of breadmaking cook books, even a breadmaking encyclopedia. But this is the cookbook I really use.So with a thrift store bread machine I can make the most heavenly homemade bread and its so simple. I suggest you use King Arthur bread flour if available (usually at Walmart) unless all -purpose flour is specified. Once you start making homemade bread you won't stop.

I recently purchased an Oster bread machine and found the recipes in the manual somewhat limited (which is expected). I went on the hunt for a good bread machine recipe book and found this gem! I have already bookmarked over 10 recipes (at least) and made the Jim's Cinnamon Rolls. HUGE hit with the family! This weekend I am going to make the Herb bread to go with our clams and salad (perfect for a warm spring evening). I can't wait to try the pizza dough (sure to be a hit with my 7 year old daughter who loves to customize her pizzas), jalapeno cheesy bread, and if I am daring enough - bagels and pretzels! I love that each recipe has not only three different sizes to choose from for your machine (small, medium, and large loaf) but also has guidelines to "tweak" each recipe to your machine.Of course there is some trial and error for any kitchen appliance, bread machines included - but these tried and trusted recipes will save you A LOT of headache and frustration trying to figure it out!Highly recommended for anyone new to bread machine baking or thinking about purchasing a bread machine. You won't be disappointed.

I am stunned at the negative reviews of this book. If there is anything to "gripe" about, it's that this is a simple paperback with no photos. I happen to like photos in cookbooks. But it's also very affordable so you can't expect glossy pages filled with photos. I bought a Zojirushi Mini for myself for Christmas and have found that most cookbooks list recipes for 1.5 and 2 lb loaves. I am perfectly capable of recalculating quantities for recipes; I just don't want to!!! This book has a mini chart for each recipe, for all three sizes of machine. And a chart is much easier and FASTER to read than a written out recipe. I can set up my bread machine in just a few minutes more than it takes to set up the coffee maker. I stick around to check the consistency of the first knead and then I just let the machine do its job. So far I have tried a number of recipes and there have been NO FLOPS, and each loaf has been attractive and delicious. When I reviewed my Zo, I actually recommended purchasing this book as a companion since the instruction manual has only a handful of rather boring basic recipes in it.

I don't write reviews often however I love this book! I have made at least 10 different loaves and not one has come out poorly. No fancy pictures but a short description for each bread and very easy to use directions. I also like how some recipes are literally 5 ingredients and others are more complicated, depending on your mood. It also gives alternate setting to cook on if you desire. If you are new to cooking with a bread maker, this book is a must have!

I bought a supposedly used, though I think in fact it was unused, bread machine from a thrift store for five dollars. Then I needed cookbooks for it, which meant that my promise to my husband not to buy any more cookbooks had to be abandoned. But that turned out all right, because one of the recipes in Bread Machine Magic, revised edition, became his favorite pizza crust.My best friend and I are having a reception in about three weeks. I am making the bread. In this cookbook I found a recipe that made my daughter's day. It's on page 104, and and it is for jalapeno-cheese bread. I can get jalapenos without heat, so it won't burn the throat of the old people present. (I am an old person.)This is a very useful book. If I were thirty years younger, I would probably try out every recipe in it. They all sound delicious. And a visiting 16-year-old man (I know most 16-year-old males are still children, but he is a man and a gentleman, to be more precise) moved my bread machine to where I no longer have to get it out and put it back. It has a permanent location. It is much easier to work magic if you can get at your equipment.And I promise you that if you buy and use this machine, you will feel like you are working magic.

This is an excellent read. Took me on an emotional high. Beautifully written and I felt like I knew every character personally. I would recommend this book one thousand percent! It kept my attention from the time I started reading it until I finished. The author didn't disappoint. A great one to add to your library.

Loved the characters side stories and how they all knew each other although ending sort of left you hanging - a sequel might tie all the ends together.

This was a good story. Left a lot of unanswered questions but still a good story. I enjoyed how everything intertwined. I would recommend this book.

Faith is my motto and each person had some type of faith in a person or the Holy Bible that kept them grounded. It’s a humbling experience to read such good experiences for people in books even though fictional. Great literary work once again. Thank you once again for literary words!!!

I was not expecting the different stories related to Room 316, but this book was written very well and a refreshing read. I really recommend this book if you are a true reader. I hope Reshonda will write more books like this.
