This book gives you not only detailed explaination on very facet of Oracle in a plain, easy to understand language but also displays a clear map of how each components related and how they work together. That is, in my opinion, very important to understand Oracle.The book gives a high-level overview of almost everything. Totally worth the money.

After that You will have good understanding of Oracle basics, but for deeper knowledge You must find other books! Language not to difficult, helpful images.
