As an expert in the field, I was impressed with this book. The clarity of the presentation and the ease of reading were excellent. For anyone dealing with spouses of gamblers.... This is a must read!!! We need more informative books to help make the therapist most effective in dealing with this population. This hidden addiction needs more education and attention. Bravo Dr. Damon Dye.
My husband is a problem gambler in the early stages of treatment and recovery. He and I are both reading this book. It has helped us both to understand the feelings we are experiencing with real steps to deal with them. We both agree what is said of the gambler and the spouse are accurate to how we feel. It has given us deeper insight to what the other is feeling.
